SSA #55 Meeting
Draft of Minutes
Present: Keith Brandenburger, Loraine Reed, Toni Quinn, Mary Gill
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 a.m.
- Snow Plowing- Snow plowing went smoother this year. We had less snow and less complaints. Total we spent on snow plowing for the winter of 2015 was $9,255. We budgeted accordingly this year and are not over budget. Discussed the few issues that were brought up by business owners and how they were resolved.
- Budget- Discussed our current budget and at this time no adjustments need to be made. Discussed streetscape they are supposed to begin sometime this year. No date or meeting had been given at the time of the meeting. Will put on the agenda for the next meeting. We will have to discuss once we know what is coming in for streetscape how to better budget for 2016.
- Street Maintenance- Street maintenance has been in effect since Jan 1st. This year has been going better than last year. The company is using the vacuum and removing the litter. Mary is in contact with the company to make sure that both services (street maintenance and snow plowing) are being done at the same time unless needed. The company speaks with Mary on a weekly basis to determine is maintenance is necessary. The one thing to remember for next year is to schedule the street maintenance for the Monday after the South Side Irish Parade. That was overlooked this year and there was a lot of garbage. Mary will schedule the contractor for the appropriate day next year.
Meeting adjourned at 8:45
Next meeting is Tuesday, July 14th at 8:00 a.m., at 3333 W. 111th St., Suite B
